Job Purpose:

To support development of the Heavy Rail maintenance strategy in terms of design review, planning, development, management of Qatar Rail Service Delivery Department in relation to delivery of maintenance services for Heavy Rail project while developing & achieving standards & internal targets for safety, availability, and assets maintenance.

Education:

Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, Facilities or Operational management or other railway related area. Membership of Institute of Railway Operators or other relevant professional engineering associations desirable.

Experience:

• 10 years of general maintenance management experience. • Prior experience of an operational railway in an maintenance discipline.

Professional Training: • Working knowledge of Maintenance Management System and depot operations. • Thorough understanding of the rail systems basics such as Heavy Rail rolling stock, maintenance vehicles, depot management, signalling systems, traction power supply & distribution, platform screen doors, automatic fare collection, track and crossovers, control and communication systems and E&M systems, their functions and maintenance.
