Job Purpose:
To ensure the implementation of QR BIM and CAD strategies, standards and tools within the organization and its partners with the focus of the Qatar Rail Long DistanceProjects. To prepare the Requirements and Plans for an integrated BIM/COBIE Delivery of the projects, to incorporate them into the tender documents and to follow up the delivery.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Architecture, Information Management, or related discipline.
Experience:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a BIM specialist / coordinator
• Minimum 3 years’ experience of COBie and Maintenance Management Systems
• Minimum 10 years of industry experience
• Working experience on international teams
• Previous railway experience desirable
• Preferable experience with Doha Metro CAD/BIM, or any other large scale infrastructure projects such as Railway transportation systems/Metro/ airport
• Preferable knowledge in document management application as Aconex or similar

Functional Skills:
• Extensive hands-on experience with industry standard BIM technology including design, review, and collaboration tools
• Extensive experience of extracting COBie data from BIM
• Competency using Autodesk Suite of products, with particular focus on Revit, Navisworks and A360
• Competency in setting up a Common Data Environment (CDE) for coordination of program projects and contractors
• Knowledge of Bentley CAD/BIM products
• Knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of 4D, 5D and 6D BIM processes is desirable
• Familiarity with international standards such as BS1192, IFC and COBie
• Familiarity with construction concepts, practices, and procedures
Professional Training:
BIM software training (Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360 Glue, Autodesk Vault preferred)
